building children’s social competence
Make-believe play has been found to be crucial for building children’s social competence, including their ability to self-regulate and cope emotionally. Keeping this in view, class V students were given an opportunity to display their understanding about ‘First Aid’ through a role play.
The purpose was to educate students about basic first aid techniques and procedures. The students demonstrated various first aid techniques for minor burns, fracture and small cuts and wounds.
The role play was very informative and engaging. It proved to be an interactive way of teaching students about the importance of first aid and how to respond to emergencies. The participants and the viewers equally benefited from this small activity.
