Festivals are a time to celebrate our culture and traditions. ਤੀਆਂ or Teej is a festival which is celebrated throughout Punjab marking the onset of monsoon. To acquaint the students with our rich Punjabi culture, Teej was celebrated by Kundan Vidya Mandir, City Campus on August 11,2023. The day was filled with fun and vigour. The students came all dressed up in traditional attires. The tiny tots from foundation years to the zealous middle section scholars indulged in a plethora of activities which their teachers had carefully planned for them. Henna application was an instant hit with the girls while the boys enjoyed eating the sweets. Gidha performance stole the show and set the tone for the day. Bangles were exchanged, boliyan were performed. The Headmistress, Mrs. Ruchika Bhakoo praised the participants for their extraordinary performances and applauded the efforts of the teachers for planning such events in school. All in all, the day proved to be a fruitful one and all the attendees disbanded to their homes with some everlasting memories to cherish.
