Teej 2024: A Festival of Unity and Cultural Heritage
The festival of Teej is celebrated to mark the bounty of nature, arrival of rain and greenery. Keeping the theme of enjoyment and gaiety in view, Teej celebrations were organised in KVM City Campus on 10 August 2024.
The students came dressed up in their traditional attires and the school was spruced up to welcome them. A swing (Jhoola) was set up on the banyan tree which has been a part of the school ever since it was founded in 1941. A special program was organised for the students of Nursery to VIII in the ‘School Hall’ highlighting the essence of this beautiful festival. Clad in traditional Punjabi attires, children danced to the tunes of traditional Punjabi songs and enthralled everyone with their captivating performances. Boliyaan and Gidha remained the highlight of the day. Songs were sung, thunderous applause filled the environment and thus, teej was celebrated with glee and euphoria by the students and teachers alike. Group snack time helped students forge bonds with their peers and they enjoyed kheer and malpura on the occasion.
