Janmashtami Festivities: A Mini Brindaban Experience
"May the spirit of Krishna fill our hearts with joy and love."
Festival celebrations in schools are not merely festive events but important educational tools that promote cultural awareness, inclusivity, values, creativity, and community building. Keeping this in view, Janamasthami was celebrated at KVM City Campus on August 23, 2024. The school that was spruced up for the occasion with flowers and swings changed into a mini Brindaban as the students of Foundational Years entered the premises dressed up as little Krishnas, Radhas and Gopikas. A small function was organised in the School Hall to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Hindu deity, Lord Krishna.
The celebration was infused with a sense of divinity as the children participated in various activities – Ras Leela presentations, reciting bhajans and poems- embodying Janmashtami's message of promoting goodwill.
The Headmistress Mrs. Ruchika Bhakoo commended the students for their efforts. The students’ enthusiasm and excitement shone brightly throughout the day and they dispersed with some cherished memories to share at home.
